Traditional cattle drive with a shared hike, refreshment stop and final farm festival at Jochumhof in Graun with barbecue and kids’ activities.
As autumn arrives and another summer on the alpine pastures comes to an end, it is time for the animals to return home to the valley.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Blaas family and friends invite everyone to join the traditional cattle drive in Graun. The day begins with a trip to Kappl, followed by an approximately 10 km hike alongside the animals back towards Graun.
Along the way, several special stops await. In Kapron there will be a small refreshment break and the separation of Peter and Franz's Wagyu cattle. At Ratschkofel, traditional whip-crackers and the hanging of the cattle bells create an authentic alpine atmosphere.
From 2:00 PM onwards, the celebrations continue at Jochumhof in Graun, with barbecue specialities, activities for children and a relaxed farm festival.
Those who prefer not to walk the entire route can join the group later in Kapron or at Ratschkofel.
Registration is required.
