Sustainability in the region

Enjoyment goes hand in hand with responsibility

Health is close to our heart. The health of people, nature, and society. Tourism only has true quality when the host region acts with values in mind. We want to take responsibility on different levels:

With a well-connected public transport system and the attractive Reschensee Guest Pass, we promote gentle mobility

Many accommodations and businesses consciously focus on regional cycles by sourcing and selling local products, while projects such as the natural garden competition foster new appreciation for floral diversity and green landscapes.

Culinary enjoyment here is also shaped by sustainability: What the region offers is what ends up on the plates. We enjoy seasonally, freshly, and in a way that is both traditional and innovative.

With head, heart & hands

Green wins! The natural garden competition honours gardens, balconies, and courtyards that are most lovingly greened and planted. Private individuals and accommodation providers can take part free of charge. Judging is based on design, maintenance, and plant diversity. Winners are crowned at the Gollimarkt and can look forward to attractive prizes. Will you join the next natural garden competition? Show how green the Upper Vinschgau is!

Together we are strong. By deliberately sourcing local products, many businesses already support established and emerging regional cycles. They make the most of high-quality produce from the region, supporting farmers, producers, and craftsmen in the area. Economic structures become smaller, more manageable, and less vulnerable to disruption. Guests also benefit: they enjoy authentic, fresh products with guaranteed origin.

In the holiday region Reschensee lake, one of the most precious resources flows straight from the tap: pure, high-quality drinking water. The project “Achtsam am Berg” motivates locals and guests alike to consciously value this gift of nature and to avoid plastic. Fill up your reusable water bottle at designated refill points with fresh Vinschgau mountain water and make a valuable contribution to environmental protection.
