Muta di Malles: the traditional meadow irrigation and ground-nesting birds
During the excursion we will discover how the irrigation system works through the “Waale”, the irrigation channels of the Muta di Malles, and why this system is still highly efficient today. We will cross an area that, apart from its spectacular scenery, is an important site for larks, corn buntings, and other meadow birds. To top off the excursion, we will enjoy a breathtaking view of Ortles and the other imposing peaks of the Alta Val Venosta.

Arrival
It is possible to reach Burgusio every hour with buses 273, 274, and 277.
