Run for all ages around Lake Haidersee, with races for children, youth and adults from 300 m to 10.7 km.
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, the traditional Haiderseelauf will take place again in St. Valentin auf der Haide. The race for all ages is part of the VSS/Raiffeisen City and Village Run Series this year and will be held as a state championship.
The start and finish are located at the Haideralm valley station in St. Valentin auf der Haide.
The course runs mostly on gravel paths and, to a lesser extent, on asphalt. The main race circles around Lake Haider and offers a stunning view of the surrounding mountain range and the Ortler group. The loop course is largely flat with an elevation gain of approximately 80 meters.
Different distances are offered for the various age groups:
Children and Youth:
Trial Category (born 2019–2021): 300 m
Students D (born 2017–2018): 600 m
Students C (born 2015–2016): 700 m
Students B (born 2013–2014): 1,000 m
Students A (born 2011–2012): 1,400 m
Youth (born 2009–2010): 2,100 m
Adults:
Women: 5.35 km – one lap around Lake Haider
Men: 10.7 km – two laps around Lake Haider
There is also something to win for adult participants: Your race number also serves as a ticket for the raffle.
Whether you are an ambitious runner, a young athlete, or a spectator, the Haiderseelauf combines competitive sport with the special setting of Lake Haider.

Arrival
The start and finish area is located at the valley station of Haideralm in St. Valentin auf der Haide. The village is easily accessible by public bus, with only a short walk from the bus stop to the valley station. By car, follow the SS40 to St. Valentin. Parking is available near the valley station and in the village. Please note that temporary road closures may apply on the day of the event.
