The traditional Almabtrieb of the Mitteralm will take place again on September 13, 2026.
From early to late September, before it gets colder at higher elevations, Almabtriebe take place in South Tyrol. The best dairy cows are richly and beautifully decorated with flowers in recognition of their performance. In the valley, the arrival of livestock and alpine herders is properly celebrated by the village community with a small festival featuring food and drink.
