The traditional Almabtrieb of the Rifairer Alm will take place again on September 12, 2026.
From early to late September, before it gets colder at higher elevations, the Almabtrieb takes place in South Tyrol. The best milk cows are richly and beautifully adorned with flowers in recognition of their performance. In the valley, the arrival of cattle and alpine staff is properly celebrated by the village community with a small festival including food and drink.
