The traditional Almabtrieb of the Upi Alm will take place again on September 6, 2026.
From early September to late September, before it gets colder at higher elevations, Almabtrieb events take place in South Tyrol. The best dairy cows are richly and beautifully decorated with flowers in recognition of their performance. In the valley, the arrival of livestock and alpine staff is properly celebrated by the village community with a small festival featuring food and drink.
