The traditional Almabtrieb of the Schliniger Alm will take place again on August 29, 2026.
From late August to late September, before it gets colder at higher elevations, Almabtriebe take place in South Tyrol. The best milch cows are richly and beautifully decorated with flowers in recognition of their performance. In the valley, the arrival of cattle and alpine personnel is properly celebrated by the village community with a small festival including food and drink.
Festive program in Schlinig starting around 11:30 AM.
Cattle arrival at the cross-country ski center around 12:30 PM.
Food and drink will be provided.
The Schlinig Alpine community looks forward to your arrival.
