The traditional Almabtrieb of the Schleiser Alm will take place again on September 5, 2026.
From early to late September, before it gets colder at higher elevations, the Almabtriebe take place in South Tyrol. The best dairy cows are richly and beautifully decorated with flowers in recognition of their performance. In the valley, the arrival of livestock and alpine staff is properly celebrated by the village community with a small festival featuring food and drink.
Festival program in Schleis starting around 11:00 AM.
Arrival of the cows around 12:00 PM at the playground.
Food and drink will be provided in abundance!
